It's been awhile!

Hey There! It's been awhile. I wanted my first post back to be of a simple update.

So let's see, where do I begin?

My last post was in Sept. 2018 and was a 2 year old life update on Kingston. Now he is 3, and I will be adding a letter for his 3rd year, I promise! Even if it’s way overdue.

Around the last time I posted was when were figuring out the timeline of traveling to Mississippi. I had to travel to MS to complete a secondary school required for me to be able to take the next rank advancement exam. This school was around 8 months long! So SO long and not easy, but I do miss the morning conversations I had with of course all the guys in my class. I remember checking in the first morning and saying, "this is the story of my life in the navy". My first command was in a unit with all dudes, and I feel like my navy career is mainly that sometimes. It doesn't bother me at all, there is just a lot of WEIRD conversations.. So, we left in November and it took around 3 weeks for Alex and Kingston to join as I got settled in and waited for my first paycheck. Once they arrived, I was making enough money and Alex was able to be a stay at home dad for 8 months. He drove the camper, Kingston, and Reecie 13+ to MS, and back to WV. He is the real MVP for that! I finished on time and graduated June 28th 2019. Surprisingly, that date was the exact same date that I graduated the first school (A school) 7 years ago. June 28, 2012.

This was kinda weird and cool to me. I had many other times I could have went to this school and somehow the dates lined up. I say this a lot, and I know I have mentioned it in the post about how Alex and I reconnected, but we were meant to be there when we were. I felt like that was a sign from God telling me, you're on the right path. There has been a lot of those moments since I joined the military, got off active duty, met Alex, had Kingston, etc. The transition and timing of things seem to line up pretty well. And I'm very grateful for that.

Here we are now, back in PA!!! This time, Washington PA. I love the area, the KOA not so much but it’s convenient at the moment and everything else is booked.

We actually wanted to see if Alex could pick up a job in WV when we first got back, but that was a hassle and we just decided we loved PA, So why not come back. Plus the job he has currently, is set for quite a few years. We are still living in our travel trailer which is nice. I'll be honest, we thought about renting a home when we got here and there are still times I caught myself looking, but this is easy. We can literally just pick up and move. And it stresses me out thinking of all the extra bills when it comes to renting. There are more pros than cons, and that's good enough for me.

Okay. so there is our location update. Work? Alex is the bread winner again. woohoo! I still work part time with active reserves and I also picked up an additional job in student exchange, which I have been loving. I honestly didn't think it was legit until I reached out after applying, but it's very real and really nice to be able to interact with families and the students they host from other countries. I can't wait to settle in a house one day and be able to host an exchange student.

Update on Kingston.

You all! Kingston is now 3. Well he's been 3 for awhile lol. The biggest update for him is that we noticed a difference in talking literally the first month we got back home. We got home the day or so after I graduated and he went from not speaking a sentence to speaking multiple sentences. Now, he never shuts up and he copies everything we say. I love when he tries to explain things to me, it's so sweet! Kingston started 3 year old Preschool! At first we had him going to one in WV, but as we stayed in PA longer throughout the week, it was easier to put him in a school here. We love it! He still cries most mornings, but when I pick him up, he tells me all about his day. We also were able to get updated family photos from our favorite family photographer that I paid for a year ago but had no time to get them done. Amber Hope Photography is amazing! I'll share some below.

Reecie girl, well she is still alive and kicking! Still lazy as heck and Getting older by the day. Still the best snuggle bug.

Other than those updates, there isn't much else to update on. Oh wait!

There is one more thing, but I'm not sure I'm ready to share it just yet. If you stick around, it will be shared soon enough.
